"A Christmas with Friends" Christmas Concert

YES, IT'S BACK AGAIN!

Friends Promoting Port Austin once again brings you another wonderful Christmas Concert Friday Nov 26th, 2010 at the PACP. The program will begin at 7 PM.

There's no better way to kick off your holiday season!

Join us for A Christmas Concert of Holiday Music featuring Dee Dee Tibbits and the Thumbs Up Harp Circle. The evening will also have special performances by Living Truth reuniting the DeeDee Tibbits family. DeeDee & Russ Tibbits will once again be joined on stage by their daughters Melody and Megan Tibbits. The family performed all around the country for over 18 years as Living Truth and Friends Promoting Port Austin is thrilled to have them reunite for our Christmas Concert!

Dee Dee does about 100 concerts a year, performing with Sonas and with a Renaissance musical group from Saginaw Valley State University. In addition, Dee Dee has 35 private students, does elementary assemblies, historical musical programs & Mother/Daughter banquets.

Dee Dee fulfilled a 25 year dream in 2009 with the release of her Christmas CD "In the Still of Winter" where she is joined by daughters Melody and Megan. Her CD features many of her unusual instruments; an antique Ukelin, a Melodica, a Hurdy Gurdy, an antique harp-like Zither and an Irish Bouzouki.

The Thumbs Up Harp Circle is a group of local harpists that meet once a month to play together and have been dilagently practicing for this concert. The name has a double meaning. First, they are all from the Upper Thumb area and second, "thumbs up" is the proper hand position for playing the harp. As of July 2010, bagpipes now practice with the Thumbs Up Harp Circle!

There are currently 11 underwriter spots remaining. For $25, you can be listed as an underwriter for this concert. All underwriters will be listed in the program and will receive a $25 Family Ticket which admits 2 adults and 2 children under 18. What a deal and what a way to show your support! Underwriters that are unable to attend may request to have their tickets donated to a deserving family.
